Teaching quality has gone down in the past 4 years as good teachers have left. Misuse of funding for televisions instead of teaching or fixing our school

There are alot of extracurricular opportunities. I didn't have very good experiences with sports because I'm not friends with the coaches kids and I haven't lived there my whole life and I don't have the right last name. I sat the bench more than I played in all 4 years I played basketball and in softball I was put in the outfield when someone who doesn't play 2nd base very well took that spot. I worked my butt off every day in practice and worked very hard in games. I had coaches from the other teams amazed at how well I played when I was able to. I constantly had other parents ask me why I'm just sitting on the bench and not playing. There have been very good athletes quiet their favorite sport because of the coaches.

This school picks and chooses which students they want to give attention and support to. If you're not a big sports player or popular kid, you get targeted or pushed aside...even by many of the teachers. My students have severe anxiety about going to school here each day and the curriculum is ridicu...

Grant Union is incredible. The staff are so caring and will spend all the time in the world helping students individually if they need it. It honestly felt like one big family because the teachers are so genuinely concerned about the students and their lives outside of the classroom. I would say the...

We have found this school to be just about as good as it can be given its size and budget. Administrators and teachers really know the students, deal with problems, and do their best to expose students to bigger experiences than would ordinarily be possible in a small, isolated town. I never worry t...
