The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I moved to Oregon from California in 2019, my junior year of high school. I instantly felt welcomed attending school rally's, sporting events and even in the classroom. Like every high school there was drama but all my teachers and members of the staff helped me feel comfortable and at home instantly.

Administration is not receptive to student concerns. The administration does not include student opinions in many of the decisions made. Public opinion is generally negative toward school district and administration. Overall the teachers are not bad but could put in more effort to reach their students. Very few clubs are active. Many seniors have not been informed about how to apply for college and feel as if there is no one to help them.

I really enjoy about Grant Union is that there isn't a lot of students so you can get a one on one with them if needed. This school isn't perfect by any means like the odd kids or just the plain different kids that don't belong in any "crowd" they are the most targeted even by some teachers. If a future student is looking for a diversity in a school I wouldn't recommend Grant Union but if you are looking for a one on one kind of school that has resources to help you than Grant Union is your place.
This school picks and chooses which students they want to give attention and support to. If you're not a big sports player or popular kid, you get targeted or pushed aside...even by many of the teachers. My students have severe anxiety about going to school here each day and the curriculum is ridicu...
Grant Union is incredible. The staff are so caring and will spend all the time in the world helping students individually if they need it. It honestly felt like one big family because the teachers are so genuinely concerned about the students and their lives outside of the classroom. I would say the...
We have found this school to be just about as good as it can be given its size and budget. Administrators and teachers really know the students, deal with problems, and do their best to expose students to bigger experiences than would ordinarily be possible in a small, isolated town. I never worry t...
