GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

the dress code is better than other schools that i've been to but we have 3 principals and the teachers are nice. they have wierd forms of punishment though. for my freshman year the social worker twisted my moms words and after that i wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom by myself and i wasn't allowed to walk through the halls during class without a teacher.

Good place to go to school. When I went here, I had a lot of great teachers. Also, I liked the selection of advanced placement classes. It really helped me prepare for college.

New students always are surprised by how well they fit in and make friends. The student body is very economically diverse, but no one is left out of anything just because they are poorer.

Bullying, fighting, and disrespect has become rampant in recent years. Administration tend to minimise or ignore these issues. However, many teachers are wonderful. They are caring, supportive, and knowledgeable in their assigned subject matters. This school also has a great music/ fine arts program...

they have an excellent special needs program for children with disabilities in our area and the training they provide for their teachers is phenomenal

I think that Johnson City is the best district in the triple cities. My four children attend, one graduated and one is to graduate this June, two are in middle school. The staff are very caring and supportive from my experience. It seems very safe and secure.
