Dream City Christian School is a faith-based private institution serving more than 500 students from prekindergarten (starting at 6 weeks) through the 12th grade. The school is located in Glendale, Arizona and draws a wide range of students, including an international program, drawing people from as far away as Brazil, Hong Kong, many countries in Europe, and Canada.
The school was initially named Joy Christian school until 2019, when it changed to Dream City Christian. Its new name reflects its goal of building leaders.
The school’s mission is to “build Christian leaders prepared to live and thrive in an ever-changing world.” The school offers religious-based programs through weekly chapel services, daily devotions and bible classes, mission trips, and community service projects. Along with religious-based education, students are offered more traditional opportunities like college-level courses, honors classes and internships.
Students can attend a large variety of after-school and extra-curricular activities, including a range of different sports, such as volleyball, track and field and basketball. Non-sports programs include opportunities in drama, music, STEM programs (science technology engineering and math), and the National Honors Society.
Dream City Christian School has a partnership with Turning Point academy. This partnership promotes the exploration of truth, a biblical worldview and an accurate representation of U.S. history.

I have been going to Dream City since I was a freshman (I am now a senior). Every year there is a new group of international students that we allow to come and be a part of our community. Through this, we make new friends and learn about different cultures. The environment is safe and welcoming because the teachers, staff, and students all hold themselves to maintain the values of a disciple of Christ.

We have been at Joy Christian School for over 12 years. We love the family atmosphere, small class sizes and amazing teachers and staff. I highly recommend this mission based school. Teaching the gospel everyday builds wonderful Christian leaders to thrive in our ever changing world.

Joy Christian has been my school for many years and has been such a big part of my life. I have made lifelong friends and had some of the best teachers a student could ask for. My education there has made me feel proud of what I have learned and am still learning. Joy will forever be my home and I am so thankful for that.
