The worst thing would probably have to be that news is hard to spread within the school and events often suffer from lack of attendance. A bigger push in student body involvement needed. The best part about the school is how accepting it is. People tend to mind their own business.

Thunder Mountain high school is the better of the two public school options in Juneau, Alaska. It could use some improvements but overall it is a good school.

Very kind school, some teachers are iffy but it's an overall great time. People are treated fairly and, the dress code is very fair. Some teachers are jerks but you just have to get on their good side.

The only thing I have to complain about I that the way the school is built does not make it feel like a high school. The colored wings are juvenile and remind me of middle or elementary school. The spikes on the ceiling, metal, and concrete remind me of a jail. Never the less, the school is beautifu...

An excellent school and a friendly social environment. This school might be new, but there is no negative interactions within and it already has a great activity program.

I have to agree with the posted review. As a parent of a graduating senior I have found very little response to inquiries regarding my student from the teachers. I have encouraged communication by sending emails and have them go unanswered it could take 3 -4 emails to get response from the teacher....
