Kalaheo is one of the better public highschools in Hawaii on Oahu in my opinion. Overall it has a better reputation then other schools in the surrounding areas and many students do very well at this school. I know people that drive 30 minutes without traffic to attend. With that being said school spirit is not really there. If there was more pride in the school people would want to take better care of the school and those in it. The staff do care a lot about their students but as a student myself it's not always clear where to go when help is needed whether it's in a academic sense or how to use the councilors or advisers on campus.

This school has both pros and cons. In my experience, the majority of the teachers do not teach how they should for the high school level, and the AP program tends to get screwed, which is a joke. We have some good teachers but a select few. We also have a terrible custodian staff that does not clean/ restock the bathrooms daily or even weekly, so there are often days without soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Kalaheo is an excellent High School. Teachers are outstanding and make learning so much fun. The administration is caring and fair. They are very supportive of all students and provide AP and other advanced class opportunities to students.

Horrible for the most part! Office staff ratings are in the negative! They don’t like the students and can care less when a parent comes in. They try to avoid eye contact so that the other person can assist or help the person whom have entered. I have heard the way they speak to other people’s child...
