I would like to see the quality of the food provided for lunch improve as it is very low quality. The food tastes and feels incredibly cheap and low in nutrients. I would like to see the quality of bathrooms improve, both lighting and also privacy. Many doors in the male bathrooms were either broken or removed by students. The lighting was also incredibly dim.

Two of our 3 children have graduated from Kapolei High School. Our oldest son went on to college and graduated from the University of Hawaii. It was due to support from the many programs that Kapolei have for the students. Our daughter is now attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa again due from the support from the high school. Job well done counselors.

The school has a great mission and good plans for the students. However, the school spirit is lacking and the overall connectivity of the students makes it feel isolating to be there. I love the teachers and how enthusiastic most of them seem to be about their jobs. The admin is great at being efficient even with so many students to handle. It is a newer school so there aren't deep rooted traditions yet, but someday there will be and they will be great

Most teachers are trying really hard, and really care about student success. The class sizes are really big - one teacher usually has 30 students, and the SpEd assistant helps out with particular students most of the time. But most students want to be successful, and the vast majority of the staff w...

I too went to Kapolei High School previously, but moved to a private school. I really loved KHS and miss everything about it. The teachers there are so caring and really make classes fun. There are a lot of students, but that just teaches you to be responsible and accountable for your own learning....
