GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Kemp is not a happy school but it is growing. The teachers are nice and educated but sometimes a bad seed gets tossed in with them. The administration constantly underestimates their staff and treats them poorly. The administration also rules on fear knowing they don't have replacements for teachers. The school has a terrible bullying problem and Kemp is known for their racey choices such as giving white people lesser punishment than people of color. But this town and school are definitely small and ready to grow. if you want a tight nit community and people to help support you this is the place. There is no place like kemp with culture dating far back and school pride that is unmarveled.

For a small, conservative school, Kemp High School felt relatively inclusive. Although they tried to make it almost impossible to get into honor classes one year, they fixed it and I did not have a problem with them again. The athletics and arts were beginning to be more successful than ever before.

Very great campus with a welcoming staff. Outstanding counselors who pushes all the kids to do great. Great parent support when it comes to events. Kids achieved lots of things with the great coaches we have. Has a variety of sports or clubs to join.
