GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a student-athlete at David Brearley High School I would say it's been a nice experience. It's a small Group 1 school which means you'll pretty much know everyone but sometimes that makes it more enjoyable. The town it's located in has made me feel safe and secure and it's very welcoming.

The teachers and councelors are very involved in the success of the students. Communication is very good as far as letting you know every aspect of your childs day

The teachers do a great job overall and are very attentive with students. Some of the best parts of my experience were the school events and some of the worsts parts were the lack of diversity and attention to all clubs.

Very small school with small graduating classes. My children did very well and enjoyed the teachers and staff. Most students go on to great colleges.

There is absolutely no college readiness. Students are not motivated whatsoever. Teachers pick and choose favorites and if you’re not one of them you will face consequences and reprehension. Very disorganized.
