David Brearley is an average school. It has the necessary resources to teach students and such. My one critique would be the school's diversity, it is severely lacking. Although they do try to advertise their academy program and also allow students from other districts, it is very selective based on their stats.

Overall my son has had a great experience in school. His teachers are knowledgeable and caring. Unfortunately some programs were cut due to state budget cuts. This has affected many areas in the school's climate. I would not allow that though to keep another child from choosing there. It's a great school.

As a student-athlete at David Brearley High School I would say it's been a nice experience. It's a small Group 1 school which means you'll pretty much know everyone but sometimes that makes it more enjoyable. The town it's located in has made me feel safe and secure and it's very welcoming.

Homework is challenging, however easy enough to do in under 30 minutes, and it’s almost impossible to be alone here, in a good way. Everyone is vastly different, playing different sports, having dif...

Very small school with small graduating classes. My children did very well and enjoyed the teachers and staff. Most students go on to great colleges.

There is absolutely no college readiness. Students are not motivated whatsoever. Teachers pick and choose favorites and if you’re not one of them you will face consequences and reprehension. Very disorganized.
