Located at 200 W. Loyola Drive in Kenner, Louisiana, John James Audubon Elementary serves children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. There are less than 600 students enrolled, which allows for smaller class sizes and individualized attention for each pupil from the teacher. The institution is one of the top 50 most diverse middle schools in the state of Louisiana. John James Audubon Elementary is named for the American naturalist who is famous for his extensive paintings of wildlife, particularly birds, many of which he created while in New Orleans.
The school, along with others in Jefferson Parish, has adopted a technology program which teaches children the value and uses of everyday technical devices. Each student is provided with a Chromebook or laptop on which to do homework or to conduct research for reports, while learning how to use the technology wisely and safely.
Audubon Elementary requires uniforms for all pupils and provides transportation to and from campus each day for qualifying students. To enroll in the school, an application is required which can be found on the Jefferson Parish school’s website. Audubon Elementary strives to inspire and challenge the children who enter its halls to be productive citizens, lifelong learners and strong leaders.

It wasnt the worst school it teaches you what you need to know but I wouldn't recommend it to any looking parent the administrators are nice but thats about the only good part , the school personally looks like a prison and has the feel to it , none of the teachers want to be there. The academics aren't that good they teach you the bare minimum of what u need to know but it is a tight nite school so for pre-k or K it honestly isn't the worst choice if you can pick. The play ground is also nice with a lot of space for kids to play.

This is a great public school, regardless of what the rating. We had just move to the area last year and I was a little skeptical.
