From the Wee Knights at the Child Development Center to the high school seniors preparing for graduation, Algoma Christian School provides nondenominational Christian education for students in Kent County, Michigan. The school has been "helping families make disciples" since 1981. Students are taught to pursue Christ-like character through academic excellence and community service.
The Wee Knights Child Development Center uses Creative Curriculum and Zoo Phonics educational resources for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. As children grow, they learn core subjects and knowledge of the Bible and Christian faith through elementary, middle and high school. Students practice for the Measures of Academic Progress and SAT standardized tests to prepare for college and their chosen careers. High school students can also enroll in online electives and advanced placement courses. Dual enrollment opportunities are available nearby at Grand Rapids Community College and Kent County Technical Center.
Algoma Christian Knights compete in various sports in the Great Lakes 6 League. Volleyball, soccer and basketball are available to both middle and high school students. Local home-schooled students can attend the partnership program with Algoma Christian School to enroll in select classes and sports teams from kindergarten through 12th grade. Small class sizes ensure that all students get the most out of their lessons.

This school does not allow its students to have progressive or respectful views on the world. If a student has a belief system that differs from other students in the class, not only will the class feel comfortable to attack that student, but the teachers will as well. During Covid, the administration actively denied government orders and would shame students who would Choose to wear a mask for their own and others safety. the theology that is taught is shaky at best. when I took US history, The book was so old it did not have Obama as president.

I really enjoy the small Christian school experience. Your classmates come to feel more like your family, and the closer relationships with teachers allow for a more interesting learning experience

Teachers are very dedicated and faithful. Many staff have been there 15-20 years. Great opportunities for student leadership and mission service. Family atmosphere.

Love this place! We have had all three of our children enrolled from PK to 12th grade here. Prepared both academically and spiritually for the future. Many teachers have dedicated years of service, love and care at ACS. Blessed to be here!

Awful , put be through way more than I should've gone through . Got no help when I needed it. If there was a problem , they swept it under the rug. Please for your kids mental health do not send them to this school.
