Knoxville likes to brush everything under the rug and pretend things don't happen. They do not have the best interest of students/athletes they only have the best interest of their friends and who can line their pockets. Knoxville teaches you that Hard work gets you no where as long as the coach's besties kid is on team ... we are all about who's back can be scratched today not how can we run succeeding athletic programs, which is why we are a mockery at so many levels. There is bullying in the halls and class rooms but it's never founded so it doesn't exist. If your looking at a school district I'd keep looking.

Knoxville High School is a fairly relaxed environment. The school itself is almost brand new, and has very modern teaching equipment. They offered a decent assortment of classes. The teachers there actually care about your education, and will often try to get to know students personally. The only problems with the school is that the lockers are to small and the sports funds are all funneled towards football.

I believe overall Knoxville schools are okay but the environment isn't always very good for students. They definitely need to work on a lot of things for their students. We have good resources and are taught well but most students are very unhappy at all times. If we were able to help students with the feelings they are having it would be an excellent experience and overall I would give it a higher ranking. Although our technology resources and college classes are very good and will help us in the long run.

Each year less classes were offered, the superintendent makes 6 figures while my language arts teacher quit to work as a cashier at Walmart because it paid more, all of the learning materials are extremely outdated and the curriculum is behind most similar schools and especially Des Moines area scho...

Some teachers could do better at communicating with parents.

Knoxville High School staff are some of the most dedicated, hard working teachers I’ve ever worked with. We strive to create a positive learning environment for all students.

Very positive. There have been lots of changes over the last several years, but all of them have been based on input from students, parents, faculty, and/or professional staff. It's disheartening to see negative remarks about the district - those of us in the community that have followed the schools...
