The physical security is dealt with well (doors are locked, visitors must sign in, etc.) but bullying is not taken very seriously and was often not dealt with when I went there. The nurses do what they can to help students. There have been a few incidents recently involving criminal charges against adults in or near the school, but the school makes sure to keep parents informed.

Unfortunately our kids have had issues with bullying in the grade school. We also know several families at the school who have had similar issues. the current principal doesn't deal with these issues. The school tends to favor kids who have issues over the kids who are bullied or even create unsafe...

Don’t recommend. I’m a current student and just had to pull an all nighter. Yeah, that’s right. In middle school no one should ever pull an all nighter. Please send your kid to a private school. The ranking on highlands is extremely false. There are some way better schools ranked lower.

The learning at this school was okay, but the teachers were unbearable. I am currently a junior in high school, but I went to this school for my junior high years. The principal definitely had his favorites and would only listen to their side of the story whenever a referral was involved. The phone...
