The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved being a part of the cross country and track team all 4 years of high school. Being on the team took up half my time and that's where I made all my friends and found coaches that would support me. The worst part of my high school was deciding what to do and applying to colleges because it was overwhelming. Things I'd like to see change: -The school did hire a few really bad teachers (but also a lot of amazing teachers), so the schools should look into a person more before hiring them. -Food: The food isn't great there, I always brought my own food because I didn't want to eat the school food. -College readiness: We had to do an online program where it "got us college ready and helped us find what we were interested in" but I did not find it helpful. Also there should be more instruction on applying to colleges. I got some help from my parents, but I know a lot of students get intimidated by the process and they just don't know what to do. So more guidance would be better.

Steer away from Oldham County Highschool if you have children in the spectrum. Resources for them are almost non existent and administrators are not very good at the moment.

I would love to see the board of education give the school funds to redo the auditorium. It is falling apart, everywhere from the rough leaking to the stage lights not working.

My daughters love OC schools, I have one in middle school and High school and one in Lagrange Elementary. All three great schools! They are very clean and there communication with us has been nothing but professional.

The teachers and students seem to be divided into two categories. There are those who care and those who don't. Those who care teach AP courses and take AP courses. Those who don't are in the remaining courses. If your child is in the average courses, I think they are in a much more difficult learni...
