Severe lack of diversity. Some staff members are rude to incoming families from out of state. For a public school, too many things are supported by local churches. They don't require physical education and their health class is lacking. Also... no library? At a school? Not totally surprised as this is Texas, but disappointing to say the least. I don't want my kid to go here, but its either that or Christian charters. I think LVHS is the lesser of the two evils, but I'm still not a fan. Neither is my kid.

Being in Lago Vista for 3 years was a big culture shock coming from a well mixed diversity environment to a predominantly white high school was really different. So of course I have racist encounters because of me being black but I wouldn't want to blame the kids I would blame the environment as more peopl of color started rolling in the racism started to stop.

I loved going to school here. The best part for me was the wonderful teachers. I had many people that I will miss when I graduate this year.

I can tell you that this school is full of people who love kids and want to do the right thing. They teachers work hard and do whatever it takes for kids to succeed. My graduate wouldn't have made it without the team of teachers and admin that pulled her through. They really care.

90% - Lago Vista high school has been the best school I have gone too. The teachers are wonderful here , very smart and they believe in you . They always give you time if you talk with them .
