These last 4 years i've spent as a student at A.M. Barbe High School have been incredible. I have made lifelong friendships and have gained an education that has prepared me for my future education in college. The administration and teachers have taught me various lessons in my time as a student that i will carry with me for the rest of college and my future career.

I would like to see a better focus on academics rather than sports. I would also like to see a focus on safety at school as construction has begun just as the school year started.

The best parts about my experience has been the experience I have had playing high school soccer. The worst has been the administration not helping very much when there is an issue with a teacher and blaming it on the student a lot of times.

This school is a joke. If your kid isn’t in sports then they don’t matter. The administration is a joke. The administration doesn’t even know what zero tolerance means. I attended high school at Barbe.. my Mother was a substitute teacher there before I attended.. we both had wonderful experiences at this school. I went to school in California, Texas, and Louisiana… and Barbe was was definitely one of the best I attended.

I went to high school here and enjoyed my time there. It is set up like a mini college campus so it gives you the atmosphere to help you prepare for the college environment. I felt like the classes also prepared us for college and they also had some students get college credit for certain courses.
