The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

My experience at Washington Marion felt very manageable and encouraging. I have been able to exhibit my academic skills much more than I was able to at my previous school. However, I feel as though not enough students are as eager to learn as I am. I believe that the school should take more strides to ensure the other students are able to achieve the same learning experience as myself. I also feel that there is much hate being spread around and I would like for the staff to discourage it more than what they have been.

I always said discipline , the willing to learn and do the right thing starts at home. If you alow your child curse you out and be disrespectful to you at home.......guess what ....he or she is going to feel its ok to go off and do it elsewhere...we cannot blame the teachers and the school we choose...
Ghetto is this schools middle name I walked in and the 1st thing II here is cursing from kids as I left a child was hanging his head out the top floor classroom window it looks like a detention facility rather than a place of education.
My granddaughter went to Washington-Marion and I support the school. The teacher sometimes can be very difficult especially one (not mention her name) but the school has potential to be the best in town. The new principal was very understanding when it came to listening to both the teacher and the s...
