This school is small and remote and you may think that would put it behind, but instead it mimics the versatility and commitment of the community it is in. It overcomes almost every challenge no matter what. The teacher to student ratio is great and students can ask questions and really get the assistance they may need. It embodies the Mountain way of life

probably an 8 or 9 out of 10The kids who go to this school are pretty much attending a free private school in a small mountain town-lucky kids.

The Lake City Community School is one of the top two public schools in the entire state of Colorado. As a resident of Lake City, I am proud of our school, and of the professionalism and caring of the staff and administration. I was treated very poorly as a parent by other parents because I am a single mom. The school's librarian made a huge scene in the school, during school hours about a non-school related issue. I found many of the teachers to be unprofessional in their approach with me.
