The academics are exceptional at LOHS with a great array of AP and dual credit options. The students, at least the ones my kids are friends with, are highly motivated. While I am sure there are some drugs there it does not seem to be prevalent. All the teachers have been responsive to my email.

Everything that exists in terms of resume building at an elite private school exists at LOHS. If you want your kids to have a broad and deep palette of academic and extracurricular options they can be fully satisfied here. All but one of the teachers I had during my four years there were outstanding and they really cared about their students learning the material and concepts more than they cared about test scores or homework assignments.
