Rose Stein International Baccalaureate School is located in Lakewood, CO. Built in 1954, the North Alameda Elementary School opened. In 1968, the school was renamed for principal Rose Stein after retiring with 39 years of teaching. Today, Rose Stein International Baccalaureate (IB) School is an inclusive, welcoming environment for Pre-K through sixth grade. The Primary Years Program is a comprehensive framework using inquiry to promote the development of higher-level thinking. The program develops students who help create a better and more peaceful world through education that builds intercultural understanding and respect. Teachers have small classes with a student-teacher ratio is 13:1. Three percent of students score at or above the proficient level for math, and 17% score at or above that level for reading. Overall besides the gym teacher (Jynho Tohara), art teacher (Lindsey Miller), para (Marrisa Rains), and 6th grade teacher (Jenifer Butler), the expierience was good.
