Lamar High School was great to me. I was always actively involved in different organizations on the campus. The parent/community was great because we are a small school in a small community so everyone was treated as family. I wish there were more resources available to the students in our community like other schools in our district but I can say that Lamar is slowly coming along when it comes to advancing its resources.

In my entire time being here at Lamar High School I can personally say that it is not a bad school to go to you have all the essentials with a little extra for people who want to do more that go to school and come home the staff and teachers all do their job well but aren't so set in their roles to the point where they don't seem like they have lives outside of school and the school takes safety and security very seriously they recently implemented new reinforced glass doors and have increased metal detector checks to keep the schools staff and students safe so I can personally recommend that your child go here.
