GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This schools teachers are severely uneducated and can't teach the material correctly. Their isn't enough funding for this school or extracurricular activities. Things are breaking all the time and the bathrooms are disgusting and destroyed. This school doesn't have diversity it's either you're white or your black any other minority is excluded and heavily discriminated against. I feel as if this school shows systematic racism. The food is horrible even the school officer has said that the jails get better food. Moving the 8th graders up to the high school was the worst decision ever because we do not have enough space or classrooms for them. We are short staffed and some teachers have to teach multiple classes and share rooms. The teachers have to re-teach subjects that we should have learned before but wasn't taught properly. The E-hallpass is the stupidest thing the school ever decided to put money into. Not letting us go to the bathroom if there is too many kids in the hall.

As a former student and graduate of Lancaster High School I enjoyed being a student overall. There were times I felt that the classes were a little overcrowded and could have been better equipped. The food needs to be improved even though they were on a budget and tried to be as healthy as possible.

Overall, my high school experience got better over the years. If you make a relationship with your teachers they will really help you because they want you to see you become successful. Sports was a major part in high school, I played all four years and our school was full of spirit. The food at lunch time was my least favorite, I brought my own lunch most days. I would say, high school is what you make it.

My son has had an excellent experience with many opportunities including Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, extracurricular activities, athletics and a great group of friends. Parent support is key. Prior graduates have experienced much success at college and in industry. Excited to see growth and in...

This school has been making great strides in recent years to overcome issues created by previous poor leadership. The Great Schools ranking is not up to date, and very bias to measures that do not fully show the student body potential. Why does "Great Schools" exist when they've never stepped foot i...

0/10. I have spent my junior year here, and will not be coming back for senior year. While there are a few diamonds in the rough, the cons outweigh the pros. From talking to seniors, I've gathered there have been 7 principles over the last 4 years. Seven. That is not a typo. I could go on, but I wou...
