GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The academics and opportunities to participate in throughout the school are extremely diverse and readily available to anyone.

I like how all the teachers are very nice and some you how you can be close to some and talk to them if you ever need anything, I like how we have virtual half days some times and I just like the school over all. My favorite time was when we had soccer and i'm gonna miss the team. There isn't really anything I don't like about the school.

I know that there's a lot of buzz about how great the academics are at Lansing, and that's definitely true, but my favorite part of our school is probably the music programs. We have a jazz band, several chorales, a string orchestra, a regular orchestra, a pep band, a concert band... the list just goes on and on. No other small school in New York can compare. As far as the atmosphere of the student body goes, it's not exceptionally welcoming or low-pressure, but we have each other's backs, and that's something I can't say for a lot of other schools nearby (I'm looking at you, Dryden).

Lansing is an amazing school!!! The education is top notch. There is a great deal of economic diversity in Lansing which is great. Wealthier families are drawn to the great school system. This is good for all. Wealthier families mean more money to fund great education

Updated review.... I am the former coach and a parent of the Lansing School District and reported that they had cleaned up in the athletic office[2 yrs. ago] and the school was heading to a much better place. That has changed again and the politics are stronger than ever and I have been here since 1...
