Over all East st John is a good school I just wish they get more involved with there students. I feel like when you make school enjoyable kids will put their best feet forward. I get school is a place of learning but it don't have to feel like prison either.

The best parts about the school is that the teachers and administration try to give students what they want, like snack sales or drinks, since only the teachers have vending machines. The teachers also do their best to get students prepared for after high school. But, the worst part is that this school is really run-down and we don't get many opportunities to have many events . But, this is expected because we live in a low-income parish.

My overall experience with this school is negative. Although I do attend a S.T.E.M program, East St. John is the school I will graduate from. The staff was always angry. The schoolwork or the test is not college-ready. And there are no clubs or helpful activities for the children.

The faculty and staff are not in communication with one another and never know what is going on, who to even refer me to when there is an issue. Do not count on them doing anything that they are actually required to do, such as fixing...

I graduated from East Saint John in 2009 and will be returning as a teacher in the fall after graduating with a bachelor's degree. ESJ is definitely a school that prepares students to be successful as they enter the next stage of their lives no matter where students wish to end up whether its colleg...
