I loved the small community as it made it much easier to form genuine connections with both peers and staff. Despite this, there is high teacher turnover and very little teachers left.

I liked that the teachers were always there to help, and support us. I had a teacher, and colorguard instructor, Mary Cass, she was also my science teacher. I had never felt a teacher had actually cared about my education and me as a person, until i went to colorguard tryouts. As soon as i met her, i knew she loved me like a child, and she taught me, she took her time to teach me science.

My experience at Laurel High was very incomparable and exceptional. From the moment I started Laurel High I was accepted and loved for who I was by the students. From the teachers I was acknowledged for my hard work and consciousness.
