The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

As a student at Central, I don't find this school to be "above the rest". It's a decent school with recently renovated parts and places. I do have so say though as of now, the bathrooms in the hallways and armory are very old and sketchy. Some of the teaches, especially the "Male" ones are a bit creepy. A friend of mine had to contact Safe UT for an inappropriate comment a teacher made in class. The Band program is excellent. Band also wins many high awards in competitions. On the other hand, for Orchestra (which I am personally in) I find that the teacher in overworked and we do not get to go on fun trips like band. This school has many extracurriculars and AP programs to offer such as Student body officer, Latinos in action, and many sports. I find that there is not much diversity here. There are many cliques and friend groups that are not kind to others. Many of the students are racist, homophobic, transphobic and in some cases have religiophobia towards others.

I believe it is average. Although my son has not had issues I have heard of other students having issues with bullying and such.

Hi I'm going to be a new student in this school. I'm going into 7th grade. I just wanted to know the school supply list for 7th graders. Or when they're going to give the list. Are they going to give it on 7th Grade Cub Camp or the Back To School Night?
