My overall experience at Pickering High wasn't the worst considering that I only decide to go there because of the environment and not so much of the education. Not saying the teaching is bad but I only wanted to be more around people I know so I can feel more comfortable about where I'm at. Regardless of the bad and terrible mistakes I made in school there was some good days, even on my good days I was acting like a fool. Truly my experience in school is what I made it, and like a lot of people if I could go back and change things I would. That's the whole conclusion of my experience at Pickering High.

Theres nothing to really like about the school. Most of the staff dont do their jobs. The teachers give privlages to certain students, mostly their kids and their friends. some teachers bad talk students to other students and spread confidential information of students.

I would never send my kid here. this sschool is not for the colored, but for the white. You’re not welcomed. You’ll never be. The principal would rather blame the victim rather than console the victim, while the other runs free. Teachers and Principals will be racist (coming from experience), they d...

Not all teachers are bad there, they just don’t have much to work with. The building is from a different era and could use upgrades. The Louisiana public school curriculum seems to be all about grades, not learning. Reviews of common mistakes or having students make corrections to their work isn’t g...

Overall this school needs to be shut down. Nothing is up to date. They have no money to do anything. Their disciplinary acts are ridiculous. Mind you, the state of Louisiana has the worst educational system in the U.S. Please, save your time and do not set foot in Pickering High school. The teachers...
