GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at West Caldwell for almost 4 years. I've seen a lot of students and teachers come and go. The one thing that has never left is the school spirit, the entire student body and staff get hyped for fundraisers and sports even if we don't usually win any of our football games, or raise enough money to buy new equipment for the school. it's still nice to see that students and teachers are getting involved and participating in the school spirit. the only thing I will say is even though the school spirit from the teachers being involved is great. they are too laid back to actually get a class's attention to teach what they are supposed to be teaching they aren't taking their jobs seriously enough and it negatively affects the students who do want to learn aside from the constant celebrating and prepping for the game days or cool events held at the school. the college advisors also don't prepare us enough before our senior year, they do everything last minute.

I have enjoyed my time at West Caldwell, Yes there been bad parts and good parts. They have been things I wish I could change and things I wouldn't. But most of all I can say I made it & I'm on to the next chapter!

Of the three high schools in our area, I believe West Caldwell has to be one of the most diverse when it comes to the students found within. We have a wide range of clubs and extracurricular activities that students may choose to dabble in. There are a variety of classes to choose from, including those that could benefit your future in college or even if you're going straight into the workforce.

Terrible. Absolutely zero communication about my child. No report card for last half the year. Buses are unsupervised and not safe. Sex drugs and abuse occur on the buses.

I am in my junior year at west and I still love it here you say that there is dip in the school... And almost all of the schools in Caldwell county have dip in them plus at 18 you can buy it. And as for bullying you are in high school getting ready to go into the real world you are going to have to...

Ever since the new school year, bullying has gotten much worse. Tobacco can be smelt through the school. Many teachers are actually picking on the students. I had one that said because I had a cell phone I should be able to afford school supplies. My cell phone was given to me as a gift from my gran...
