Good school overall, solid academics and college preparedness. Diversity is the best part, so many different types of students. Facilities and teachers are great at well.

Leonia High School is pretty good overall, but it is lacking in certain areas. Although the teachers are good for the most part, there are still many that are not quality educators that cause their students to struggle in the following years. I myself experienced this with my Spanish teacher in sophomore year - her class was enjoyable because she made it lively and entertaining, but I struggled immensely in my junior year Spanish class as a result of. my lack of knowledge from the previous year. Teachers like this are common in Leonia High School which is unfortunate.

Pros: - A lot of great,funny, and informative teachers. - Many students are serious about their studies. - Fun sports and clubs to choose from. Cons: - Lack of money to pay for new school equipment compared to other schools. - Doesn't have any IB classes if you're planning on taking them; only AP courses. - If you apply for the STEM Academy, you need to wake up very early. Overall, the school is definitely trying to improve for the staff and students. There is younger staff that are working, and they can relate to the students a little more, making the classes interesting. There are also fun "field" trips to different states and countries such as music trips and DECA. If you're interested in using advanced equipment, expensive instruments, or high-end softwares, this is not really the place to learn for you. If you're interested in AP classes, new friends, and teachers that email back quickly, then I would recommend this school to you.

I have 4 kids in the school system. One just graduated from the high school. I generally find the school to be excellent and can handle a wide variety of students.

I'm a rising Senior at Leonia High and I'm happy so happy about my experience thus far. The teachers are motivated, kind, and want to see everyone succeed. We have many academies, a great sports program, and all the resources needed to excel. Many of my older friends have gone on to very competitive...

The school only cares about its ratings and nothing else. The staff and the principal are inconsiderate and rude. There are no opportunities as compared to other schools in New Jersey. The bathrooms are not clean, hallways not monitored and the library is the not quiet at all. The school does not pr...
