The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall we have really loved this school. I cant really think of many negative things to say but one of the best parts of this school is the staff. The teachers are really good and strive to help you in any way possible.

Hancock County High school has passionate educators who love to teach. I have loved growing up in the environment of Hancock County Schools. They provide the things needed for students to reach their full potential. Guidance counselors schedule classes according to your goals and they want to see us succeed. I like how there is always projects on the wall, or pictures of students and staff learning or teaching. Hancock County High schools is a relatively small school which is perfect for me. I don't like a big school environment, so Hancock County is perfect for me.

I like how the teachers are caring. I would like to see change in teachers promoting trade schools as much as they promote universities.
