GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I graduated from Mifflin County High School last year, and here are my honest opinions. Sports are a 2/5, during my time in Mifflin County in High, I played three sports all of which were fun but, we didn't really have a winning season. Education 3.5/5, yes some of the teachers are laid-back but some just make your life harder and I really didn't like their grading system. It is a big school for a small town, but I will say if you're looking for a bigger and better experience overall go to state high.

I spent most of my time here learning in the Alpha program (entirely online at the student's pace). This was much better than my time as an in-building student, as I could work farther ahead and get more or less done in a day than in a typical classroom depending on the type of day I was having, as long as I kept up with marking period deadlines. I highly recommend the Alpha program to anyone with the willpower to keep up with it. However, if you can't handle the Alpha program, I don't recommend Mifflin County schools, because almost every year I spent there in-person, I've had at least 1 teacher that gave me problems, mostly not grading late work until long AFTER I turned it in, but I had one that seemed...emotionally unstable (she thankfully retired after that year, but she had been known for years to have at least 1 breakdown a year), and one almost caused me serious medical problems (too long of a story to explain here). The school is ok. I've had both good and bad experiences.

Overall, Mifflin County High School is a great school with great teachers and students. Most of the teachers there are very passionate about their work and truly want their students to succeed.

My experience at Mifflin County High-School has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any kind of facility or school district of which I have been to multiple in my life and none, not even one compares to the amount of unequitable actions taken upon students of this school.Faculty an...

I have been a student at this school all my life. I have attended since 1st grade, I can say with the upmost certainty that this district is not a good place for your children's education. I have retained little to nothing that I was "taught". Most of my knowledge I have has been self taught. Don't...

The curriculum is insufficient and doesn't give students a great learning experience. I attended this school district for 5 years and when I switched to a different school, I found myself to be very behind. at Mifflin county I was top of my class, yet found myself academically not up to the bar of w...
