GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

People are good and try helping each other out. Don't focus on a quality education, just making sure everyone graduates. This leads to classes motivated people want to not occur when they were part of the path they set up.

I have not had a good experience with Oglethorpe County High School. Some teachers don't even teach so what's the point of taking the class. My parents and I have struggled to make it through the school year sometimes.

I've been in this school system since Kindergarten. This place is my home. Teachers are great. They are always on point about getting you ready for college. Bullies are everywhere though. But, they do say if you need help, all you have to do is ask for it.

Unequal treatment of students. Allowing lesser consequences for physical violence towards other students than a student who defies a teachers instruction.

This school doesn't offer a equal treatment. As a student, I have seen people who the principle and office staff like, get away with things/don't get the same punishments as students their indifferent about. I had a student in my class( who the office staff talk to everyday and are friends with him)...

As a parent with a child that has special needs, I feel the school doesn't offer a lot of resources. The teacher's are great with the students. Their down to earth from what I've seen and makes teaching fun. Mrs Levine is a wonderful, wonderful principle. I've been satisfied with OCMS as a parent. A...

I believe school is what you make of it. OCHS is a great school with hard working teachers. My daughter's teachers go above and beyond to make sure their students learn. The teachers and administration care about the students. It is a small school with fewer options than larger schools but the envir...
