GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really liked the location of the school and how small it was. This made it easier to get around and didn't create as much distractions. However, the school lacks in attempts to discipline the students. The staff put little to no effort in teaching the kids in this school on how to be a descent human being.

I really enjoyed all of my classes. My teachers are super nice, and they are very supportive and understanding. I am a high grade student, and my teacher's know that I do my work to my fullest potential. I play sports, as well as have a job, so balancing those two, isn't the easiest. My coaches are very flexible, and they are able to help me catch up on things I've missed in practice. Taft High School is a really good high school. I started late this year, and still managed to find friends, and get along well with the teachers, and start sports.

The teachers don't care and neither do the advisors. The kids torment each other it's pretty terrible. There's a literal lock on the elevator and teachers don't believe you when you have health issues. They also don't report when they should.

I have transfered from this school in the middle of my junior year, and after going to Taft Elementary and Taft High for a combined total of 9 years I would say that I know broadly that Taft is unsatisfactory in almost every department. I've tried time and time again to find a place in Taft, any pla...
