The best part of my experience has been the people and how the teachers care about their job and their students. The worst parts of my experience have been how the administration handles situations and crisis. I would like to see more communication from the school to parents and students as well as teachers in dangerous situations that occur. And more seriousness in big situations.

I enjoyed LHS and it helped me become prepared for college. I enjoyed the Cross-Country program. It really grew me as a person and the TSA Chapter was a great way to push my self in the STEM pathway and get experience with it.

My overall experience with Lockhart High School has been good. I have been taking honors classes as well as classes through Austin Community College. I am the section leader of my band and really enjoy playing at football games. Teacher and adminstrators care about students and I am challenged academically each day.

It has been a lot of years since I went to school at Lockhart High. What I do know about the school today is that there is some generational teaching that is certainly to be commended. There may be some struggles they are having right now, but this is a very up and coming area. I am very seriously c...

The faculty and staff are friendly and helpful, but they are not effective. Students can get easy A's if they put in the effort, but are not prepared to do well on harder state tests or AP tests. They are also not prepared to succeed in college, where they will need to use high level critical thinki...

I am a grandparent. My granddaughter is very happy at LHS. She is in pre-AP classes, which makes a big difference. She does the active UIL program, and plays sports. I am not aware of the programs for special needs students or less active students.

I believe that the LISD is the heart and soul of Lockhart, TX. The administration and staff go above and beyond to make sure children are successful. LISD has a completion rate of 95.3% and is a Recognized school district. I am proud to be a Lockhart Lion!
