Many of the teachers really care about the students, and that really shows when they go out of their way to help. However the academic offerings, music and art offerings, and support from administration are lacking.

Lone Oak suffers from the same problems of any other small school district. These problems are underfunding, lack of resources, lesser student motivation, and overall reduced amenities. This being said, the staff at Lone Oak works hard to ensure that every student can get the education they deserve. Being a part of this school has provided me enough resources to continue my studies to the next level.

Lone Oak is a very welcoming learning environment. Our education system is really good, especially compared to other towns/cities around us. It's a small town and school but we continue to grow. The teachers are very kind along with all the staff, they prepare us everyday for the real world. We don't have a lot of money but every bit of it goes to the students to make sure we have a great high school experience.

Transferring our daughter to Lone Oak from a much bigger district is the best decision we have ever made. At LOHS our child thrived and had opportunities she would have not had in the bigger district we came from. Teachers and administrators are also very supportive!
