Rock Canyon overall has been a great experience for me. The teachers and staff really show that they care and want to help out in student's endeavors. However there is also a highly competitive nature within the academics of this school, which can either push you to be better, or create a slightly toxic environment for learning.

I've spent three years of my life at this school, and so it's taken a place in my heart. Although the school culture, some of the people, and some of the experiences I've had weren't all that good- I have met people I like and I was educated by great staff. I felt safe at school and taken care of when asking for guidance.

At Rock Canyon I had great experiences with all the clubs and extra curricular activities. I also have a very great time with the teacher in the building, I would say their counseling department need to work on their college preparation a little more for students, but they are great with mental health resources.

Bad: The Teachers aren't very good in the grade book and always mess things up. The Bathrooms have been destroyed for 2 years now. They don't even attempt to clean them/fix stall doors. pretty gross. The Special Ed/IEP program is not that good. almost none of the teachers actually go by your accommo...

They do a horrible job dealing with bullying and don't care about student mental health at all. They only care about the education and the teachers put to much pressure on students. Wouldn't recommend.

After principal Andy Abner left this year, looks like the school went down a bit. For my daughter in the freshman class, the AP Human Geography teacher has been a nightmare. She even had her send an email to the teacher and copying the parent saying it is all her mistake that she got less grade. Mrs...
