GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Longmeadow High School is a pretty inclusive school with amazing teachers. The academic opportunities here are amazing and the students are fairly welcoming as well.

Longmeadow is a pretty good high school. For STEM, it's incredible. For humanities, it's pretty good. The arts are pretty well supported, but the arts extracurriculars are not very well supported. Teachers are pretty good, but problematic teachers don't seem to face much revision. There is some mental health assistance, but it is not very widespread, and the environment of the school is very stressful.

Good public high school that will largely prepare you for college. I have done well at my so called "small ivy" due to Longmeadow high schools preparation. The school isn't what it used to be, even 3-4 years ago, as it has gotten easier and more kids are leaving from prep school. But overall, good high school that is the best around and comparable to an above average, wealthy Boston suburb schools, more so than any other school in the area.

I agree, what makes it a bad experience is the administration team, needs more support for special education of all kinds.

There are some great teachers here but the administration should be ashamed of themselves, the choices of extra curricular activities is disappointing, and a lot of the students (and their parents) are just plain mean.

Absolutely terrible. The worst experience of my life by far.

Horribly disappointed in Longmeadow High & the 2015-2017 administrators. Great school for athletes & those able to fit the "cookie cutter" mode. Our family moved to Longmeadow after reading good reviews about the schools. Sadly, we moved all of our kids out of the district so that they could pursue...
