GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a rural and small school and it shows. The school does not offer many AP or college classes. Many students here don't care about their education. Many teachers here do genuinely care but others do not and do not provide an adequate education.

In my opinion South Harrison hasn't prepared me for college. We have no drive or incentive to excel and a lot of the kids slack off and the teachers don't care whether we come or go. Though I do agree that there are about 2 or three teachers that really care if I'm there or if I'm struggling. The others write us off.
