GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think the best part of my experience at Roosevelt High School is how well the teachers explain everything to us.

Not everyone was into the spirit, but the ones who were made it fun. Football was the main sport, getting all of the attention. Not all of the other sports had the same attention, but at least had some flyers and posters made for them.

I have been able to take many classes and receive college credit for them. Most of mine have been online, except for my college math classes. Our math teacher was qualified to teach them. We have a wide variety of electives. Nutrition, Child Development, Scientific Research and Design, Engineer Design and Problem Solving, Ag, and more. I often have homework, but it was expected.

The Macs have taken over and the text books are out the window. I encourage technology advancement, but this school is rediculous. I removed...

The school relies too much on technology. They obtained a grant for Mac computers which is great but the students no longer write with pen or pencil, everything is reliable on the computers. As far as the Principal goes they need a change, she has come in and taken over as if she is the warden of a...
