GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's alright at Luray High School and overall I would rate it 3/5, but the school culture is not that friendly to newcomers, the food is poor, and clubs, even if you would like to be in multiple, is often not possible as there is hardly any time for them, unlike the schedule last year.

A spirited atmosphere if people step up and participate. No fault of the schools but limited class selection especially for DE and AP classes. It's a very small school so you either make good close friends or have trouble finding your people.

LHS is an average small town school in my opinion. It's a mainly white population with very little diversity. The high school level classes are average, the lowerclassmen are very disruptive from what I've experienced. The dual enrollment classes offered are better, as there are no disruptions in those classes. From what I've experienced most teachers teach well. I don't have anything particularly bad that I've experienced, but I haven't had anything particularly good to say about it either.

Luray High School is mediocre at best. The administration runs the school like a prison and micro manages teachers and students to death. There is very little emphasis on good instruction and special education is a complete joke at this school.

Luray High School Luray Va Fantastic opportunities for student to take college courses. They have one of the best student support systems I have ever witnessed. Keeping in mind good sportsmanship at all times, whether they win or lose.
