Although it is one of several elementary schools in the Nordonia Hills City School District, Ledgeview Elementary is the only one located in the city of Macedonia. Serving over 400 students in kindergarten through fourth grade, Ledgeview readies kids for further education at Lee Eaton Elementary School, Nordonia Middle School and ultimately Nordonia High School. Ledgeview is a highly rated public elementary school which earned a high grade according to the state’s most recently available report card grading system. In 2017, Ledgeview earned the prestigious distinction of National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. The Ledgeview campus, which is located on Shepard Road, features a large playground with blacktop, a ballfield, a basketball court, a pavilion and plenty of open green space. Students can participate in a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities at Ledgeview, including running club, youth sports clinics, fine arts festivals, performing arts and more.

Beware, they teach one size fits all and if your child is not a top performer there is little help. Your child swims or sinks. No air conditioning for the children. No more recess. There is little time for individuality. The best part of the school is the playground and the outdoor learning center....
