The staff at Shawnee is excellent! We have had amazing teachers that care deeply about my children. My daughter receives special education services and has made progress. My only negative is that they have large class sizes.

My kid loves this school! But I’ve noticed them coming home being upset, usually on Wednesdays. She said it’s her specials, “ music “ and her teacher is mean and gets upset easily at the class and yells a-lot. And her actual teacher is very rude to this one kid who is obviously” special “. We’ve experienced quite a few wonderful years at Shawnee. There are many caring and effective teachers, an active PTO which sponsors many events, and a new, engaged and friendly principal. Unfortunately, what has been a good experience is now turning sour in our last year. My otherwise happy child h...

Disregard all of the negative reviews regarding the principal. She retired and the new principal is wonderful! Shawnee is a great school! Lots of activities, awesome teachers, and strong academics.
