GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Madison High School is a large suburban high school in New Jersey. There are four grades from 9 to 12 with a moderately diverse student population. There are many sport teams, school based clubs and extra curricular activities. I have kept in touch with my teachers since graduation and they are very supporting.

The school has a wonderful environment and continues to provide resources for students that allow them to gain the resources and tools they need to academically. Furthermore, there are numerous opportunities in which individuals can interact with different career paths wether its through clubs, courses, or lecturers.

I have loved my time at Madison High School, though some of it's unconventional way's of having freshman take physics I have found what I want to study for the rest of my life. I never thought I would like physics and probably would have never taken it if I didn't need to because of the reputation that goes along with it but by starting with it I found my favorite class. I was able to take 3 physics classes throughout my time there, AP Physics 1, 2, and C. The worst part of my school experience is the fact that only 8 people are allowed to use the bathroom at once in a school of over 800. Also, I would love to see our school update the facilities because they are out of data and barely hold up now.

An excellent public high school with staff and teachers who really care about the kids success and well-being. Academically challenging and rigorous. My child was well prepared for college.

Grading is volatile. Many teachers seem to take power in giving low grades in the Enriched/Honors/AP because they say a "B =A" but they don't understand that colleges unweight those grades anyway (I found out the hard way). But - standard (easiest) level teachers give out As like candy. This creates...
