Mglva overall is a pretty great school. Considering the fact that teachers are expected to engage teenagers who have free will I would say they do an amazing job. They have events to interact with other students in person and online. Curriculum is easy to access and rather insightful. Admin is good and so is faculty.

I have loved my time at MGLVA it is by far better than any schools I've been to previously. It has great accommodations to any and all situations the students have. The teachers I have met at MGLVA are some of the most funny people I've ever met SHOUT-OUT to the algebra 2 teacher she is amazing!!! Though I went from a barely passing/not passing classes to getting A-B average grades. From the time I joined MGLVA 1 year ago I've improved my grade from a 1.78 to a 2.23. I have loved my time at MGLVA and to anyone who is looking for a school to attend but doesn't know if online is the way to go MGLVA is the best way to know if it's for you. I love MGLVA

I have been going to Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy for 5 years. The academics are excellent and they offer many options. Many of the teachers and administration are wonderful and very helpful. They have lots of clubs and a few in person opportunities. The sports and social department are lacking though.

It's a joke!!! Our daughter was bullied horrible and the school did NOTHING!! All they did was move pods and that was it! Oh and the bullying was by a teacher! No help for her IEP...I sent in paperwork for her IEP and they lost it. We got fed up and moved her to a different online school. Do yoursel...
