Overall, my experience with Manteno High School has been pretty good. I love my teachers and kids won't have a bad experience with them as long as you are respectful. It's a smaller school so there isn't a huge range of opportunities, but the school does try to add as many opportunities as it can. I have received a lot of help academically. Lastly, I enjoy the extracurriculars our school has, I just wish there were more.

For a small town in the middle of the Midwest, I would say Manteno is a very good school. I'll start with the negatives. There is a serious problem in Manteno with drugs, and a lot of it takes place with High Schoolers. I do wish that the school would do more, but I do understand there's not a ton they can do. Also, most teachers are very good. But I have had a couple teachers who have been terrible, and most people have had the same experiences. But it's not all that bad. I have had opportunities to do so many clubs and other activities there. Also, the education I have gotten has been great for me, and I think it will be good for me when I get into college. Lastly, I have been set up very well by my counselors for every year in high school and with my plans after high school. Manteno High School is a great school.

My experience was good the school wasn't very diversed. So you growing up I had a lot of racial issues that took place. But they tried there best.

Teaching at MHS was a toxic experience. As a professional, I expect administrators to provide their staff with support, open communication, and empathy. I did not find any of these traits demonstrated during my employment. When hired, I never received clear expectations about what my curriculum woul...

Manteno High School is an awful establishment. Let me repeat. Manteno High School is an awful establishment. You may look at some of the grades like Social-emotional support for students or family engagement and say that reflects positively on the school. However, I believe that those are actually n...

The people at Manteno are egotistical, even the teachers. They only expect the best and nothing but the best; hence, why students have to try out for every single thing. Would not recommend.
