I've had an okay high school experience. Nothing really stands out about Manteo High School, it's a small school in a small town on a small island. There's nothing remarkable about the high school itself. I have made great friends and people who I will hopefully stay in contact with when we're in college, but there's nothing about my high school that makes me say that it was a great experience.

I transferred to Manteo High School my senior year. I felt bullied by students, faculty and administrative staff. I wish I had known the negative aspects of this school and its environment before transferring. Poor experience.

I overall I like my school. Everyone knows everybody so it isn't hard to make friends. The teaching staff is always ready to help you and help you achieve the best grade in their class possible. Our guidance counselor's really do work with you picking out a schedule that will test your effort and drive but nothing to outrageous. Also the guidance counselor's will help you if you do end up struggling in a class or fall way behind. Our principal's at our school also have a close bound with the students. They know every student by name and always loves it if you come by for quick chat in between classes. The only thing about our school is that we are small so are sports teams are necessarily the best but that doesn't mean we don't have true athletes. Also by having a small school we are somewhat closed in so going off to college is a huge change for us students here.
