I loved my experience at marion high school. I would most likely choose marion high school over any other high school. I played a lot of sports and went all 4 years. Ive had a good time there and would recommend it to anyone else.

The best part of my experience at MHS was the ability to obtain 52 college credits. The worst part of my experience was the unequal placement of students into classes; students with an honors history were very strongly encouraged to stay in the hard classes even if the student didn't want that class, and students with a history of generals classes were encouraged to not take a higher level class.

I loved my experience at Marion High School. The only negative comment I have is that not all of my classes over the years had qualified teachers so I feel I missed out on a little of my education. I know this was due to teacher shortage. I loved all the clubs and sports I was part of as well as the diversity of my High School. I feel like my coaches, sports, clubs and friends played a vital role in preparing me for the real world outside of school. My time at Marion High School has provided me with an education, many college credits, and the most cherished memories.

MHS is such an incredible school. You attend with people of all races, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The course offerings are unmatched anywhere in the area. I'm proud to be an MHS grad and was more than prepared for college.

This school has received bad press because it has struggled academically to meet state standards and bring test scores up, Also, discipline has always been a challenge. However, I attribute these problems more to the high percentage of children from low income families, many of whom lack good parent...
