Being a senior at Assabet Valley Vocational High School I would have to say my overall experience has been a memorable one. I knew no one when I came to Assabet other than my sister and brother. I decided to join the soccer team freshman year and it was the best decision I ever made. I created so many friendships and it made me less anxious before starting high school. I still am friends with a few of them which shows how getting involved in sports or clubs can have a huge impact on your high school experience. The trade I am currently in is Biotech. I have nothing but good things to say about this shop. The teachers create a warm welcoming environment which makes me look forward to show weeks. The lab experiments we do are always exciting. The only thing I would like to see change would be the lunch food. I think it would be beneficial for all students if we start seeing some more healthier options.

When I came to Assabet Valley, it was during 2020, with the pandemic it was difficult at first. I ended up flourishing! I went from D-Cs as my grade, to A-Bs! I love my school. It has helped me grow as a person and learn that I can thrive.

Overall school has been normal. When it came to covid they did as much as they could for us to stay in school to learn. the academics are pretty average we all have teachers we like and aren't too fond of. Personally what makes Assabet special are the shop teachers. My shop teacher is amazing has taught me how to work even if i don't go in the trade. He taught me discipline and acts like a boss in the real world but he does it for the best intent to get us ready for work. Which is why i like it.

My daughter goes to Assabet Valley, and she always comes home complaining about school. She's started having depression after going to this school. She's on medications and getting treatment now. She's talked to me and her therapists about killing herself three months after going to that school. T...

Assabet is a fantastic school. The courses\trades they offer to the students are fantastic. Their technical offerings are great!

Excellent school, the teachers really want students to learn and there is a connection between the academic and shop teachers. Lots of sports and extracurricular activities. Post graduate programs are well respected and attended.
