It's an alright school, but personally I think the school is very uptight on rules. Facial hair and dress codes suck, and the staff sometime feel out of touch with students.

It's a very tight knitted community surrounded by many great individuals who are there to see you succeed. The student-to-teacher ratio is very great as the help provided by the teacher and faculty is great also.

I graduated from mathis high school and it was pretty bad. The administration was terrible and did not care about us (the students) very much, they did little to nothing to prevent bullying, they cared more about the dress code then almost anything else. Although, now that I look back on how things were ran and how the turnover rate for teachers was ridiculous I can see why this school isn't doing well in state test scores or graduating students who don't go to college.
