Marya Yates Elementary School was the best school I attended. The school have nice teachers and a support system when kids are in need of special attention or going through things. The best part of the school is the way kids would treat each other with respect and love. I enjoyed every part of the school. The learning process was very helpful. The teachers were very open minded about helping kids that couldn't get the information as fast as some others. They helped you with some skills you didn't have before.

With the new principal in place this year and last this school have improved tremendously. I have a son with ASD and this is the first school he has attended that made him feel welcomed . They have also helped him achieve a lot of his goals in his IEP.

If you have children 4 to 11 do not move to Matteson. Teachers at Mayra Yates screams and belittle children. If you have children attending this school ask them everyday how do they be treated at this school by the students and the staff. They take up for each over and principal just as wrong as the...

Horrible. Teachers are lany they sceam at students. Low rate and belittle students for no reason. Intimated them. Parents please question your children about how these teachers treat them or other children and what they witness

I rate it a two because other schools can access their children work via the internet. Having access to my child’s homework & school work via the internet would allow one to see daily where their child stand in class.
